Making a Statement

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of the statement necklace. Whether its to dress up a plain outfit, or to compliment something I’m wearing colour-wise, I have a selection that suit any occasion.

Mostly, they are from Zara. They have really upped their game in the past few seasons and last Christmas I was saved on a couple of occasions from wearing dull evening dresses (read: plain black) by wearing a jewelled creation fit for the Tower of London!

I have all the necklaces in the image above and some can be seen in situ on the photos below.

Having said that, I don’t wear them all the time, preferring to alternate them with my go-to necklace, my beloved Tiffany Starfish.

BUT, something exciting is soon to be starting where not only will I get to wear some gorgeous new pieces, but you could too! More on that soon enough 🙂

Are you a fan of statement jewellery?

Jewels that Sparkle

I have made a few jewellery discoveries recently and today’s #encouragebeauty theme is a great way to share one of them.

My younger self only really wore silver jewellery, and that largely remains the theme inside my mirrored box, but gold and rose gold have been sneaking into my collection.

I also usually stick to one necklace, my beloved Tiffany Elsa Peretti Large starfish, a present from the now hubby on the first birthday I had whilst we were together. The boy done good!

However, I’ve taken to layering a few fine necklaces, including my Alex Monroe Silver Bumble Bee, and an Estella Bartlett horseshoe.

These necklaces by Ingenious Jewellery though that I discovered at a local boutique, Gerrard’s in Reigate, would be a welcome edition. Hubby take note! Christmas is coming 😉

Sparkly, vintage looking, and in a range of metals, they add a lovely bit of bling to an outfit. I especially like the simplicity of the circle pendant.

What do you think? Do you like?

Discovered: Estella Bartlett Jewellery

Estella Bartlett Jewellery

I was in town yesterday looking to buy some ‘Thank You’ cards and I came across these wonderful little bracelets in a local store, The Lemon Tree.

I’m a big fan of small bracelets that you can wear for a little bit of wrist-bling, or add to existing pieces for a nice layered effect. This particular bracelet also came with different coloured threads to suit your mood.

On further investigation once I got home, Estella makes a whole set of these lovely little “friendship” bracelets, from words such as Superstar (which is what I have) to Grace. I think they would make wonderful gifts for something like a Baby Shower, Hen Do, or perhaps even Wedding Favours… in fact they remind me a little of the Wish Bracelets that we gave to our female Wedding Guests on our Big Day…

Having looked on the website further, I also adore all the fine necklaces and the Luella ring, not least because that’s my Mum’s name, although spelt differently (she’s Louella). The biggest online stockist I can find is NotOnTheHighStreet, but I’m sure boutiques local to you will stock them too.

I shall definitely be adding to my Estella Bartlett bracelet collection…The Navy Blue Wish design has my name on it.
