Three runs this week and one of them a long one – my first (during this training) that was over an hour. Some of you may have noticed that I didn’t post last week for training week 2. That’s because I didn’t run at all. Was feeling pretty under the weather all week, and decided that it wasn’t worth trying, and probably failing, to meet my targets. A week of rest it was.
On to this week, and I managed to stick to my three runs. Today’s I impressed myself with. A constant (i.e. no walking breaks) run for 1 hour 27 minutes (training said 1 hour 45 minutes or 7 miles whichever was less – I managed 7.68 miles in my time). Woohoo!
Next week starts my new training days, so I actually have to run tomorrow on Christmas Eve (only a 40 minute run) which will culminate on my long run being on a Saturday. This is better for me in the New Year as it means Hubby can take Wee-Man swimming on a Saturday morning, and I can get my run in, meaning he gets Quality time with him, and we don’t miss out on Family time together for the rest of the weekend. It’s important for me to have that balance remain throughout all of this.
I can’t say that I’ve been highly positive over the last couple of weeks, in fact there have been days that I’ve thought that I’m never going to be able to this. 2013 will bring positivity, and I hope that you guys will also spur me on. Hoping to organise a little reward for after the main event too. Bliss.
